11.📌 My building has central water purification (or whole-house), do I still need a purifier?

General central purification systems in buildings only filter out sediment from the tap water pipes. For sterilization purposes, they do not remove chlorine in advance. Therefore, it is still recommended to install a Point-of-Use (or drinking-grade) water purifier at home.
If you have a whole-house system in a townhouse, consider the distance from the tank to the tap. For drinking needs, a drinking-grade purifier must be installed at the point of use. If you have a central water softener, it is unrelated to purification; a drinking-grade purifier is still necessary.

12.📌 Why is the Total Bacterial Count still failing with a central RO system?

Even with a central Reverse Osmosis (RO) system, there is a risk of bacteria regrowth in the pipes and water tanks after filtration.
There is always a risk of contamination during water delivery. Even if an RO system is installed, we recommend installing a purifier with sterilization functions at the outlet.

13.📌 Why do customers report a chemical smell after a typhoon?

After a typhoon, water quality deteriorates, but water plants must continue to supply water.
As a result, they must add more chlorine for sterilization, which causes a strong chlorine smell when you turn on the tap.
This is caused by insufficient capacity of the activated carbon filter. To make it more reliable, you can use Carbon Fiber filters or Sintered Carbon blocks, which have faster absorption speeds.

14.📌 Why use Activated Carbon Fiber or Sintered Carbon Blocks?

Compared to traditional manufacturing processes, using Carbon Fiber or Sintered Carbon Blocks provides:
1. More filtration pores
2. Better absorption and filtration effects
3. Longer service life
4. Low pressure drop
5. Excellent taste

15.📌 Comparison: Carbon Fiber vs. Sintered Carbon Blocks

Carbon fiber has the fastest absorption speed, but because the pores saturate easily, it is usually fused with carbon powder to improve taste and capacity.
However, a Sintered Carbon Block consists entirely of activated carbon, so its absorption capacity is superior to carbon fiber. The sintering process reduces the use of molding glue, increasing the surface area and absorption speed.

16.📌 Why does the bacteria count fail after using Carbon and UF membranes for a while?

This may be related to the usage environment. Although activated carbon filters out chlorine and chemical impurities, its porosity makes it an easy breeding ground for bacteria. If used occasionally, stagnant water allows bacteria to thrive. Even with a UF membrane at the end (with a 99.999% rejection rate), if the bacterial load is too high, it may still exceed standards.
Solution: Use Silver-impregnated carbon blocks or Nano-silver cloth to wrap the carbon block for anti-bacterial pre-treatment, reducing biofilm and bacteria growth.

17.📌 Is it mandatory to install a bacteria-removal water filter?

Actually, many households only drink boiled water. In that case, bacteria removal is not necessary; you only need to filter out sand, chlorine, and other compounds.
